GUILD OF ST. CLARE
"Create with Faith"
The guild has been created as a youth group of children and young adults to build positive relationships with each other, the church and our community. The aim of the Guild of St. Clare is to create with faith. The group will create works of arts and crafts starting with embroidery, which the final item/items will be on display and used within the church.
To encourage young people of the parish community to become active in learning to produce arts and crafts that contribute to the beauty of the liturgy, church and community.
To contribute, as part of the parish youth ministry team, to the development of work with young people from the parish, promoting the spiritual, social and fun aspects of Christian living.
To enable young people to take their rightful role in the Christian community as ministers of change and growth within the church and world.
MEMBERSHIP of the Guild is open to any child from age 8 upwards. Adults are more than welcome too, as they can pass on crafting knowledge and expertise to others.
The guild sessions will run twice a month in St. Marys Hall upper room, on the 3rd Friday and Saturday of the month. On the 3rd Friday of the month the session will be between 4pm and 6pm. On the 3rd Saturday of the month, it will be between 10 am and 12 pm.
